Message from Sheriff Don Reynolds
We’ve been getting numerous calls in reference to something we’re working on in the Waterloo area of Laurens County so here is what I can tell you at this time. We were contacted by Investigators with the Gaston County Police Department from North Carolina. They requested our presence and assistance regarding a missing person cold case investigation dating back to approximately 1995. At this time we are assisting them near the intersection of Lois Ln and Serene Dr. in Waterloo. We are searching an area near this location by utilizing cadaver dogs and possibly a ground penetrating radar. The cadaver dog assistance is being provided by The South Carolina Search & Rescue Dog Association (http://www.scsarda.org/). Assistance with the ground penetrating radar is being provided by The University of South Carolina Institute of Archaeology & Anthropology. **For any specific questions regarding the missing person case please contact Captain Curt Roselle of the Gaston County Police Department at 704-866-3320. ** If there is any additional information to be released we will do so as soon as possible and in conjunction with information released by the Gaston County Police Department. Again, I would like to reiterate that any questions regarding this case be directed to Captain Roselle of the Gaston County Police Department. Thanks.
