
Annual Jail and Bail Fundraiser Coming in May
Our annual Jail and Bail fundraiser is coming up soon! This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds benefit our Christmas for Kids program. Sign up willing friends, family members, coworkers, or employees to join us on the historic square on Friday, May 6th. Minimum "bail" amount is $100, but participants can set their goal high and start raising their funds at any time. Over 3600 Pounds of Litter Picked Up in March
In the past three weeks, the inmate litter crew has picked up over 3,600 pounds of litter from the following areas: Highway 14 (Laurens)
Wind Road
Templeton Road
Medical Ridge Road
Forest Road
Leesville Church Rd

Missing Woman in Clinton
UPDATE 3PM- Ms Gary has been located and is safe. BOLO Missing woman, family concerned. Kalan Gary has been missing since approximately 9AM this morning (3/23). Was last seen entering woods near the 2300 area of Hwy 308 in Clinton. DOB: 08/10/1995 5'06" 130lbs Kalan was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and Vans shoes with flowers. We are actively searching the area for Ms Gary so please avoid the area to allow law enforcement and bloodhounds to work.

LCSO Seeking Subject After Attempted Murder
On March 21st at approximately 6PM, deputies were dispatched to 12165 Highway 221 South (Nu-Way) in Waterloo in reference to a gunshot victim. Deputies discovered there was an altercation between two individuals, after which the victim allegedly walked away from the suspect who then shot him. Over 800 Grams of Meth Seized
On March 14th, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office received information that a wanted person was located at 149 Patterson Drive in Laurens. Deputies arrived on scene and observed the subject on the property. Travis Aaron Jarnagin was placed under arrest for a Domestic Violence 2nd warrant. $500 Reward Offered for Information on Missing Man
March 9, 2022 The family of George “Robert” Strickland Jr is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to his whereabouts. Robert was last spoken to in March of 2020 and was reported missing to our office in June of 2021. Robert is approximately 5'7 and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and possibly graying facial hair. Robert has a tattoo on his right arm. Information given must lead to the whereabouts of George Robert Strickland Jr.

UPDATE 10:28AM- LCSO has cleared up from the scene and there is no credible threat. We will be following up and working with District staff to remedy these types of situations and ensure a safe learning environment.
An airdropped message containing a threat was sent to a few students at Laurens District 55 High School. All students and staff are safe. The Laurens County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the origin of the threat.
