Bloodhound Mabel joins the LCSO team
I would like to thank Ms. Susan Jolly and her daughter Caroline for providing this AKC registered Bloodhound puppy to the Laurens County Sheriff's Office. "Mabel" is 9 weeks old today and we are very excited to have this new addition to our Bloodhound program. We cherish this group of dogs and they certainly stand out in their efforts to locate lost individuals and wanted criminals. -Sheriff Reynolds


Man Wanted for 1/24 Murder
UPDATE 1/30/2023- IRBY IS IN CUSTODY ----
On January 24th at approximately 8:30PM, Deputies responded to Gray Drive in Gray Court in reference to a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had been shot and succumbed to his injuries. This was an isolated incident between two individuals. The deceased has been identified by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office as Trevor D. Anderson of Gray Court. The suspect has been identified as 35 year old Roy Degerick


Missing Woman in Trinity Church Rd Area
THOMPSON HAS BEEN LOCATED 1:32PM BOLO Missing female, Janet Thompson 77 years old Has dementia and high blood pressure. Was last heard from yesterday at 3PM. Left on foot in unknown direction and unknown clothing description. Area of 1056 Trinity Church Rd Laurens. Deputies are in the area actively seeking Ms Thompson. Inmate Death 1/12/2023
On January 12, 2023 at approximately 7:40AM while routinely monitoring, Laurens County Detention Center staff discovered an inmate to be unconscious and later declared deceased in his cell. The individual did have existing health conditions. The Laurens County Coroner's Office is assisting. As is protocol, SLED is investigating as requested. All inquiries should be directed to SLED.
