

Two Arrested, "Facility" Shutdown
On Friday, June 25th at approximately 6AM, Deputies responded to a residence on Billy Leopard Road in Cross Hill in reference to a suicide. Upon arrival, Deputies observed the deceased individual in the front yard of the home. After further investigation, it appeared that this residence was a makeshift transitional home for vulnerable adults known as “We Are Here For You LLC,” where 7 individuals were residing. On June 25th, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office accompanied SLED to a residence on Knighton Chapel Road within Laurens County in reference to a person wanted by Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office. Principal Recognized for Fundraising Efforts
On Thursday June 17th, the Laurens County Sheriff's Office recognized Joanna Woodson Principal Eddie Marshall for his tremendous support and contributions to the Christmas for Kids Program. Mr. Marshall has participated in LCSO's Jail and Bail event twice and both times, he far exceeded our expectations. Marshall raised the most funds both times he attended. Two Wanted in Connection to Burglary, Vehicle Theft
Today (6/4/2021) between 5:30AM and 6AM, the subjects pictured here broke into a Laurens County home, taking the victim's keys and vehicle. Amanda Marler and Kristopher Burton were last seen in the *Orangeburg, SC area.* These subjects should be considered dangerous. 8 Arrested for Ill Treatment of Animals
On May 25th at approximately 12PM, Animal Control was dispatched to Carriage Farms Court in Gray Court in reference to a malnourished dog. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a dog to be underweight with spine, hip, and rib bones showing. At least seven other dogs were also observed on the property at this time with no water in sight, except for a small amount that was dark green in color containing insects.
