Two Narcotic Search Warrants = Three Narcotic Arrests
On April 27, 2017, Narcotics Investigators and Deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office conducted (2) Narcotics and Illegal Drug Search Warrants within the County. The first search warrant was issued in the northern part of Laurens County in the city limits of Fountain Inn. At 2:10 p.m., the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a lawful search warrant at the residence of 491 Chapman Road #17. Inside the residence, SWAT Team members located and arrested the target of their investigation, JARED LOGAN MORSE as well as BARBARA ANN SPLAWN. From the search, Narcotic Investigators seized various drugs including Xanax’s, suboxone, marijuana and a substance believed to be heroin, as well as several firearms.
Hours later, at 4:20 p.m., the Narcotics Investigators and the Laurens County SWAT Team executed the second search warrant on the southern end of the county in the town of Joanna. Inside the residence of 404 Pickens Street, Joanna, officers located and arrested JOSHUA DEWAYNE WOODARD for Distribution of Schedule II, Distribution of Marijuana, Distribution of Schedule V and Distribution within Proximity of a School. Inside the residence, officers seized Marijuana, various scheduled substances and a large sum of cash. All the individuals named in this release were transported to the Johnson Detention Center awaiting bond. Sheriff Reynolds stated, “I am very proud of the work the deputies at the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office continue to do. Our message is clear: the aggressive drug enforcement in this county will continue.”
