UPDATE- In Custody--Suber Wanted For Murder

Update: The Laurens County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as 27 year old Kevin Fortner of Waterloo. -- UPDATE: Subject is in custody

On 4/10/2026, deputies responded to the 3000 area of Todd Quarter Road in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, the victim was located and had succumbed to his injuries. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information leading to the whereabouts of Maurice Marquis Suber, who is wanted for Murder. Suber was last seen driving a white 2011 Buick Enclave.
