LCSO Investigators Remind Parents About Social Media Dangers

Due to an increase in internet/social media targeting of young children, SVU Investigators of the Laurens County Sheriff's Office send this message to parents:

-There are over 500,000 online predators active every day, many with multiple online profiles

-More than 50% of victims are ages 12 to 15

-89% of victims are contacted by online predators through chat rooms and instant messaging.

Don't wait until it's too late.
