Trafficking Methamphetamine - Arrest

On May 1, 2026, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security, and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation which led to a search warrant being executed at 206 Sassafras Drive in Laurens, where Deputies located a quantity of methamphetamine.

This investigation then led to the execution of another search warrant at 209 Martha Dendy Dr. in Clinton, where Deputies located a quantity of marijuana and a stolen firearm.

Frankie Layne Simpson was arrested and charged with the following:

Trafficking Methamphetamine 400 grams or more

Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana

Possession of a stolen firearm

Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent felony
