Gray Court Man Arrested- Distribution Resulting in Death

On July 15, 2026, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office assisted the DEA with a federal arrest warrant for distribution of Fentanyl resulting in death. This arrest is the result of an investigation initiated by a Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Investigator.
Investigators and deputies attempted to make contact with the subject via traffic stop in Gray Court at approximately 8AM, at which time a brief vehicle pursuit occurred. However, the individual was arrested shortly thereafter.
Aberdeen Cornelius Craig of Gray Court is being charged as follows:
Distribution Resulting in Death
Assault and Battery High and Aggravated
Failure to Stop for Blue Lights
Reckless Driving
A search warrant was conducted at Craig’s residence, resulting in approximately $18,000 being seized and a charge of Operating a Gaming House.
Aberdeen Craig is in federal custody.
