1st Citizens Academy
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office will be conducting its 1st Citizens Academy beginning Thursday, October 12 at 6:00 pm. It is the mission of the Laurens County Sheriff's Office to provide applicants with a general understanding of how law enforcement works in our county. The Citizens Academy will provide insight into the functions of the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, including responsibilities for enforcing laws and ordinances, investigating various crimes, arresting and apprehending criminals and interpreting the law.
Details are as follows:
The Academy will be held from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm each Thursday beginning October 12, 2017 and ending November 16, 2017 (Total of 6 weeks)
Participants must be Laurens County residents at least 21 years of age
Participants must possess a valid South Carolina's Driver's License
Participants must complete an application for the Citizens Academy and a background check
