Scam Alert

  • Dec 3, 2025
  • 1 min read

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is receiving an increased number of reports regarding scam calls. Callers are impersonating deputies or staff members and often use the real names of employees to appear legitimate.

Please remember: The Sheriff’s Office will never contact you by phone to demand payment for any reason. This includes fines, warrants, missed jury duty, or any other matter. Any caller making such demands is attempting to scam you.

Do not return the call using the number that contacted you. Scammers frequently use “spoofed” numbers to make their calls appear local or official.

If you need to verify a call or speak with a deputy, please dial our office directly at 864-984-4967.

Your awareness and caution help protect our community.

Managing these "internalized logical frameworks"—the beliefs that dictate what we see and do—requires high levels of vigilance and resource management.

In the world of FNaF, you are a security guard monitoring failing systems and limited power. You have to decide which signals on your monitor are real threats and which are just static.
