This week is National Police Week. This week offers honor, remembrance, and peer support, while allowing law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to gather and pay homage to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
We ask that you pause to honor the brave men and women of Law Enforcement who serve and protect our communities with courage, compassion, and unwavering sense of duty.
At the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, we are proud to have a team of dedicated professionals who run toward the danger. They miss holidays, family dinners, and sleep so that others may rest easy. It’s about service over self and sacrifice without much recognition.
To the families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty: we remember, and we honor their sacrifice. To those currently serving: we thank you. To the families who stand behind every deputy: your strength and support are the backbone of this profession.
This week, and every week, we honor not just the badge- but the hearts that beat behind it.
