The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is proud to share our 2025 Year in Review statistics.

In 2025, we responded to 38,062 calls for service, an increase of more than 1,800 calls compared to 2024 (36,216 calls). Even with this rise in call volume, our average response time decreased. The average response time in 2024 was 18.46 minutes in comparison to 17.40 minutes in 2025.

It’s important to understand that the majority of calls we receive are non-emergent and do not require an immediate lights-and-sirens response. This statistic reflects an overall average across Laurens County’s expansive 700+ square miles. Emergency calls are prioritized, and response times for those incidents are significantly faster.

These numbers reflect the hard work of our deputies and staff and our continued focus on efficiency, accountability, and service.

We remain committed to building trust, strengthening partnerships, and serving the people of Laurens County every day.

What an insightful year in review! I appreciated how you highlighted community engagement and transparency. I remember attending a Eggy Car similar public safety event last summer, and it really made me feel connected to our local law enforcement. Maybe sharing more personal stories from officers could deepen that connection even further?
