Arrest Made in Dragstrip Murder

On May 11, 2024 a shooting incident occurred at the Ware Shoals Dragway. 17 year old Calvin Lamont Parker Jr. was shot and succumbed to his injuries.

On May 18th, Kendrick Beanard Makins of Greenwood was arrested in Abbeville County and charged with the murder of Parker.
