Wanted Person

On November 16, 2018 the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Neptune Drive in the Waterloo area of Laurens County to serve a court order from Illinois. The court order from Illinois directed law enforcement to take custody of an infant child. According to agencies in Illinois, it appears that Mr. Teitsort fled the state with the infant child after the court order was obtained. Mr. Teitsort was then tracked to the location on Neptune Drive, at which time the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office became involved. While on scene, the occupant of the residence, Daniel Teitsort, ran from the residence, leaving an infant child in the residence unattended. Deputies took the infant into emergency protective custody and called DSS to the scene.

Mr. Teitsort is now wanted for Unlawful Conduct Toward a Minor Child. If anyone sees him or knows his whereabouts, they are asked to call the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office at 864-984-4967 or Crime Stoppers at 864-68-Crime.
