Deceased Animals

On February 13, 2018 around 10:23 a.m., deputies were notified by Laurens County Animal Control Officers that they had received a complaint of multiple dogs being found deceased on the side of the roadway in the Gray Court area. Upon arriving to the scene, the responding deputy spoke with (2) Animal Control Officers at the intersection of Stoddard Mill Road and Ben Taylor Road, where they observed (4) deceased dogs laying in a ditch. (5) deceased dogs were located on Bryson Ford Road and (2) other dogs were found deceased on Sweetbriar Road. From a preliminary investigation, it appears that some of the dogs were shot to death. At this time, this office is actively conducting an investigation.
