Car Thief Ring - Additional Arrests

Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Narcotics Agents continue to “chop” away at the Burglary/Car Thief Ring that has plagued this county for the last month or so. Yesterday, June 15, 2016, Deputies arrested Bryan Eugene Dillashaw, for Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods. From the arrest of Dillashaw, (2) stolen vehicles were recovered. Today, Investigators and Narcotics Agents arrested Dartagnan Pruitt and Kayla Dawn Armstrong with the assistance of the State Law Enforcement Division Fugitive Task Force, and the Woodruff Police Department. At the time of his arrest, Pruitt was in possession of a motorcycle that had been reported stolen from Charlotte, North Carolina and a Honda Accord that was reported stolen from Anderson County. Sheriff Don Reynolds stated, “I am very proud of the investigators and the deputies of this office. They have worked both night and day for the past few weeks, trying to disrupt this crime ring. We will continue to arrest any and all individuals that may be associated with this group!” Both Pruitt and Armstrong were transported to the Laurens County Detention Center for booking. This still remains an on-going investigation.
