15th Annual Christmas for Kids
The Laurens County Sheriff's Office is kicking off fundraising efforts for its 15th Annual Christmas for Kids program. The program helps make Christmas a reality for Laurens County children who might not otherwise enjoy receiving gifts on Christmas morning.
This year's committee is planning several fundraising events and will be making some exciting announcements in the coming weeks. To kick off this year's fundraising efforts, the LCSO Christmas for Kids will be sponsoring a Poker Run on Saturday, May 27, 2017 - first bike out at noon and last bike in at 4:00pm at the Laurens VFW. There will also be food, door prizes, an auction and a 50/50 drawing. For more information about the Poker Run, please contact Courtney Snow at csnow@laurenssheriff.com.
LCSO Christmas for Kids is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations to the program are tax deductible. If you or your business would like to make a donation towards the Christmas for Kids program, please contact Captain Charles Boyce, Commander of the Community Services Division, by calling the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at (864) 984-4967 or via email at cboyce@laurenssheriff.com. All gifts are appreciated and will help make children's wishes come true on Christmas morning.
Sheriff Don Reynolds made the following statement regarding this year's Christmas for Kids kickoff: "The Laurens County Sheriff's Office is proud to sponsor the 15th Annual Christmas for Kids program and we look forward to making it the most successful Christmas for Kids program yet. This program is responsible for helping make a lot of children happy at Christmas. I would like to thank those who have been working hard to plan the fundraising activities and I thank all the citizens who will participate in these activities for the benefit of the children."
