Sgt. Jeremy McMahan of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has been placed on administrative leave without pay, effective immediately. On March 18, 2017 around 8:30 p.m., this office was notified that Deputies from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office had responded to the residence of Sgt. McMahan in regards to a domestic dispute. McMahan, who resides in Greenwood County, was arrested last night by Greenwood County Deputies, charged with Domestic Violence-2nd Degree and transported to the Greenwood County Detention Center. An internal investigation will also be conducted by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.
