On November 29, 2018 the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service on Willis Rd in the Fountain Inn area of Laurens County in reference to a missing two-year-old. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes and began searching for the child. The child was found safe a short time later in the edge of a neighbor’s yard. As Deputies were searching a wooded area between houses, a neighbor heard them calling for the child. He looked outside and located the child in the edge of his yard, at which time he notified the Deputies. “We want to thank the community for coming together and assisting in locating this missing child. Members of the neighborhood came out immediately and began helping search. All too often we have to report on the negative things, but this time I’m pleased to tell you this child was found safe.” Sheriff Don Reynolds
