Criminal Sexual Conduct
On October 19, 2018 The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual molesting a juvenile in the Fountain Inn area of Laurens County. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office received a DSS Intake report regarding an alleged sexual abuse incident. Investigators learned that Katlyn Edwards had given birth to a child after being impregnated by her biological father. This child later died at a medical facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Distribution of Fentanyl
In May of 2018 the Narcotic Unit of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the death of an individual on Warrior Creek Church Rd in Laurens County. Investigators learned the victim died from fentanyl poisoning and began working to determine where the victim obtained the pills. During the investigation, the Narcotic Unit made several undercover drug buys from Quinton Lashawn Watts, in which Mr. Watts sold various quantities of pills which contained fentanyl. D


Looking For Suspect
A nurse with the JMS Burn Center in Augusta GA contacted the Sheriff’s Office on October 5, 2018 regarding a vulnerable adult burn victim in their facility. The victim had severe burns to his arm and face. The nurse had concerns about the victim’s injuries being intentionally inflicted upon him.
