Multiple Arrests
On April 20, 2018 Deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Alan Ford at a location on Cheek Rd in Gray Court on outstanding warrants for Grand Larceny of a motor vehicle and Criminal Conspiracy. During his arrest he was in possession of a stolen F-150 truck. The truck was taken from a residence on Hwy 101 in Gray Court on April 18, 2018. On April 19, 2018 Clinton Public Safety was dispatched to a gas station on Musgrove Street in Clinton in reference to a shirtless male attempting to steal gas from someone at the gas station. He apparently left the scene walking, leaving behind a vehicle which was determined to be stolen out of Spartanburg County. On 04/09/18 the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to 56 Stiles Lane in the Hickory Tavern Community of Laurens County after receiving a 911 call to an apparent domestic dispute with shots fired. On April 4, 2018 around 11:10 p.m., a uniform patrol Deputy with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was on routine patrol when he observed a red Ford Focus cross the double line on Highway 101 north of Gray Court. After initiating a traffic stop on this vehicle, the deputy then made contact with the driver and he smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the while talking with him. Narcotics Operation
On April 2, 2018 The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit executed a search warrant at 650 Penland Rd in Laurens. This search warrant was the result of a month-long undercover operation into the sale of marijuana coming into our County from Colorado.
